Terms of Service
Last updated July 11, 2026
These terms cover your use of What's My Burnout Level, a free website published by Leading Between The Lines. By taking the test or reading the articles, you agree to what follows. It's short on purpose.
This is not medical advice
What's My Burnout Level is a self-reflection tool for managers and leaders. It is not a medical or psychological assessment, it does not diagnose burnout or any other condition, and it is not a substitute for advice, diagnosis, or treatment from a qualified professional.
Your result is a snapshot of how you answered on the day you took the test — nothing more. If you are worried about your health or how you are coping, please talk to a doctor, therapist, or another licensed professional. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line right away.
What the service is
The test is 30 self-report questions that produce an overall burnout risk score and three signal scores (Exhaustion, Detachment, and Professional Efficacy), along with written guidance. Everything on the site is free to use, and there is no paywall on any part of your results. To see your results on screen you enter your first name and email; doing so also subscribes you to our newsletter, which you can leave at any time.
Fair use
Please use the site the way it's meant to be used. Don't:
- submit other people's personal information as your own;
- try to break, overload, scrape at scale, or reverse-engineer the site or its scoring;
- present the test as a clinical, diagnostic, or hiring instrument, or use it to make employment decisions about anyone;
- republish the content as your own or strip its attribution.
Who owns what
The questions, scoring model, written guidance, and articles were created originally for this property and belong to Leading Between The Lines. You're welcome to share your own results and link to the site; you may not copy the content wholesale or claim it as your own.
No warranty, and the limits of our responsibility
The site is provided “as is.” We work to keep it accurate and available, but we don't promise it will be error-free or uninterrupted, and we can't guarantee any particular outcome from using it. To the fullest extent the law allows, Leading Between The Lines isn't liable for decisions you make based on your results or the guidance here — that's exactly why the test is a starting point for reflection and a professional is the right call for anything serious.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; when we do, we'll change the date at the top. Continuing to use the site means you accept the current version. For anything about these terms or your data — see our Privacy Policy — email chad@whatsmyburnoutlevel.com.
